I am pleased to extend a welcome to all those who have an interest in mental health and/or addiction. The International Journal of Mental Health & Addiction (IJMA) is a forum for researchers, clinicians, policy specialists, educators, community workers, advocates, and stakeholders. IJMA is intended to be a vehicle for an ongoing dialogue about any issues that fall within the area of mental health and addiction. Our journal covers areas in psychology, sociology, anthropology, criminology, public health, history, law, literature, and other fields pertaining to mental health and addiction.

Masood Zangeneh
Editor-in-Chief, International Journal of Mental Health & Addiction (IJMA)
editor-in-chief@ijma-journal.com

The International Journal of Mental Health & Addiction offers a forum for up-to-date information and developments in mental health and addiction-related research, policy, phenomenology, literature, and treatment. Through publishing high-quality peer-reviewed articles, it is our aim to seek and lead an international debate on mental health and addiction-related issues, and to help make sense of how mental health and addiction affect individuals and communities. Beginning in 2006, The IJMA Journal will be published by Springer on a quarterly basis. We welcome the submission of articles for publication in the IJMA Journal by researchers, clinicians, educators, frontline workers, other allied health professionals and community stakeholders.
